We are trained to support you and your unique needs as a Police Officer, Fire Fighter, Emergency Medical Personnel and Military Service Member or family member. We have personal connections to these professions and populations and feel a passion for giving back to those who serve others.
There is no weakness in seeking help, only bravery for being willing to know when you are in over your head. There is no judgement for talking to a counselor, only support for the difficult experiences you have had in life and the struggle you are going through today. By taking care of your own mental fitness, you maintain your ability to continue to support the people most important to you; your significant other in your relationship, your children in your family, your friends and co-workers and the communities you serve.
Being a first responder is a tough profession and hard on those who choose it. The physical threats are clear; you train and sharpen your skills constantly to protect against the highly visible threats. The psychological dangers are more hidden but every bit as real. Knowing how to protect yourself, especially knowing when it is time to get help, is as important to your well-being as any other safety skill.
